The new Aldar property is designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, making it his first UAE project

Property developer Aldar announced on Tuesday a new 77-home property in Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi. Located in Saadiyat Cultural District, the property, called Baccarat Residences Saadiyat, will overlook the Louvre Museum and the soon-to-be open Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.

This development will bring together the Maison’s 262-year crystal heritage with the cultural depth of Saadiyat Cultural District to present a globally recognised address.

The property sits in one of the emirate’s most sought out locations, home to Louvre Abu Dhabi, Berklee Abu Dhabi and Zayed National Museum, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and the future home of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. The property will also face the Arabian Sea, allowing its residents to enjoy a short walking trip to the beach.

On Monday, Aldar Group announced its financial results for 2025; a record net profit of Dh8.8 billion as net profit jumped by 25 per cent, the strongest financial performance in its history. The real estate giant has properties in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and is expanding to London and Egypt.

The new property is designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, in which this will be his first UAE project. His work for this particular property is drawn from Saadiyat Island’s natural environment, its shoreline in particular, to compose a striking sculpture and defining addition to the skyline.

The undulating curves form two distinct buildings that naturally mirror the landscape and blend seamlessly between architecture and the horizon.
